Due to the size, logistical complexity, and highly customized nature of our products, we maintain a strict policy regarding returns, refunds, and cancellations. Please review this policy carefully before finalizing your purchase or signing a build contract.

1. Custom Container Homes and Modifications

Our primary focus is engineering modular structures and container homes tailored to your exact specifications.

  • Final Sales: All sales on custom-built container homes, modified modular structures, and specialized fabrication projects are final.

  • No Returns: Once a custom build is delivered and accepted at your site, it cannot be returned. We do not accept returns due to a change of mind, buyer’s remorse, or failure to secure proper local zoning or building permits.

  • Defect Resolution: If a custom structure arrives with a defect in workmanship covered under our Limited Warranty, we will work diligently with you to repair or remedy the issue in accordance with the warranty terms, rather than issuing a return or refund.

2. Order Cancellations and Deposits

Building custom container homes requires significant upfront material procurement and labor allocation.

  • Initial Deposits: To secure your position in our fabrication queue and allow us to order raw materials, we require a non-refundable deposit (as outlined in your specific build contract).

  • Cancellation Window: If you must cancel your project, you must do so in writing within 3 business days of signing the build contract and placing the deposit. Cancellations made within this window will be eligible for a full refund of the deposit, minus any transaction or processing fees.

  • Late Cancellations: If you cancel your custom order after the initial cancellation window has passed, or after physical fabrication has commenced, your entire deposit will be forfeited to cover the cost of allocated labor, engineering time, and procured materials.

3. Standard, Unmodified Containers

If you are purchasing a standard, unmodified “as-is” shipping container from our inventory, the following terms apply:

  • Eligibility: You may request a return of an unmodified container within 7 days of the delivery date.

  • Condition: The container must be in the exact same condition as when it was delivered, with no new damage, modifications, or alterations.

  • Restocking Fee: All approved returns on standard containers are subject to a  20% restocking fee.

  • Return Freight: The customer is strictly responsible for all return freight and logistical costs to transport the container back to our designated facility. These costs will be deducted from your final refund amount.

4. Damages During Freight and Delivery

We coordinate with heavy logistics carriers to ensure your modular structure arrives safely.

  • Inspection Upon Arrival: You or your designated representative must be present at the time of delivery. It is your responsibility to thoroughly inspect the exterior and interior of the container home before the delivery driver leaves the site.

  • Reporting Damage: Any structural damage incurred during transit must be noted on the delivery bill of lading and photographed immediately. You must report freight damage to us at support@803kustomzllccontainerworxllc.com within 24 hours of delivery.

  • Resolution: Claims for freight damage will be handled through the logistics carrier’s insurance. We will assist you in filing the necessary claims to repair damages caused during transport.

5. Refund Processing Time

If a refund is approved (such as a valid deposit cancellation or a standard container return), the funds will be processed back to your original method of payment.
